How to choose a course/ career for yourself?

Look out a few things that might help you to decide on the above matter:

Choose a course/ career that you like
This is the most important criteria as once you are in, it will be with you for your whole life. So don't regret on the mistake that you make when you might have chose the course/ career that you don't like.

Interest VS Capablity
I am interested to pursue LAW and eventually become a LAWYER later, but I HATE reading and writing? This is one of the most common problems that students face. You will have to consider both your capablity and interest as it will be quite difficult in your studies if these two do not match.

Research
Do a thorough research on the course you are planning to pursue later, and if possible of course do aresearch on the intitution as well. You can ask for past year results, track records, student placement, and many many more.

Affordability
Never assume that you parents/ guardians are rich, and of course also do not assume they are poor. Please talk to them before you plan for anything. Money does matter! Well, if financially they can't support you in your further education, you will need to get from other sources like scholarships, loans and so on.

Interest Test
If you are really not sure about what to study later, you could run a self-assessment online, or do an Interest Test, from various sources. Take note that the answers are just guidelines, and not absolute.

Choose a suitable institution
You have so many choices nowadays, so be wise when you choose an institution for yourself. One the methods is to ask around the students studying there, and remember to ask from a few to get more genuine answers. Besides, you can also pay a visit to the institution concered. Through this you can experience the environment personally.

REMEMBER it is never too early to think about it eventhough you are still in your junior form. It would be easier for your parents/ guardians to plan ahead as well.
